• Interpretation is the process of understanding and analyzing a spoken or signed message, and re-expressing that message faithfully, accurately and objectively in another language, taking into account the cultural and social context.  It involves working in real time.

• Interpreter Qualifications.Access’s commitment to intensive training and continuous education sets us apart from other interpretive service providers.  Our personnel receive certificates upon completion of extensive training and must continue to obtain additional training every quarter to maintain their certification.  Access’s training curriculum includes courses in the Interpreter’s Code of Ethics in legal and health care fields, HIPAA, and Legal, Medical, Business, and Social Services terminology. Access requires their interpreters and translators to provide language proficiency certificates through an independent third party testing agency

• Assignments: We can provide scheduled and emergency interpretive services as you require.
• Scheduled assignments are those that are made 8 hours before the requested service time.
• Emergency assignments are those that are requested less than 8 hours before the requested service time. Our interpreters can be on site in less than thirty (30) minutes.
